AIAM2023 has been successfully held in Brussels, Belgium on October 20, 2023

The 14th FCPAE European Forum with the theme of "Advanced China-EU Collaboration for Tomorrow" has been successfully held in Brussels, Belgium on October 20-21, 2023. More than 260 officials, scholars and entrepreneurs from China and Europe attended the forum.

As the academic sub-forum of the European Forum, the 5th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Manufacturing (AIAM2023), is hosted by the Federation of Chinese Professional Associations in Europe (FCPAE), in association with Overseas Chinese Science and Technology Innovation Alliance, Huzhou University, International Association of Applied Science and Technology (IAAST), Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAIA), Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), International Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance etc. Experts and scholars from all over the world engaged in related research fields discussed the latest research progress in "artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing" enthusiastically, as well as the application of artificial intelligence in cross-cutting fields such as intelligent devices and clinical medicine.

At the beginning of the conference, Prof. Linhua Jiang, Chair of Overseas Chinese Science and Technology Innovation Alliance and Prof. Shixin Ye-Lehmann of University Paris-Saclay, presided over the opening ceremony.

This sub-forum reports was divided into two sessions (Session A & B).

Prof. Linhua Jiang chaired Session A (Artificial Intelligence Theoretical Basic Algorithm).

Prof. Huiyu Zhou from University of Leicester, UK, Prof. Lei Ma from Southwest Jiaotong University, China,Ms. Huiyan Huang, Founder & CEO of Morningsun Technology Group, Germany, Dr. Anil Kumarfrom IITUniversity, India, delivered speeches on “Towards Uncertainty in Learning and Modelling”, “Multi-sourceinformation processing with applications to smart maintenance of rail transit systems”, “Multilingual AIGC for Hyperautomation” etc.

At the same time, AcademicianYushi Shen from National Academy of Sciences of Georgia,Prof.Yu-Dong Zhangfrom University of Leicester, UK, Prof. Lizhuang Ma from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, Prof. Dimitrios A. Karras from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, Prof. Gian Luca Brunetti from the Polytechnic of Milan, Italy, and Prof.Md Abdus Samad KAMAL from Gunma University, Japan,delivered speeches online respectively on “ ArtificialIntelligence Drives DigitalTransformation in Thousands of Industries”,“ArtificialIntelligence for MedicalImage Analysis”, “3D Scene Understanding and Fine-grainedReconstruction”, “State of the Art, Trendsand Challenges in Al Algorithms and Systems Applied to Manufacturing”,“Investigating the Role of Green Matter into the Built Environment and Buildings”, “Cyber-physical Control of the NextGeneration Road Transportation Systems”.

Prof. Shixin Ye-Lehmann chaired Session B (Artificial Intelligence Cross-Clinical Medicine).

At the same time, AcademicianYongmin ZhangfromFrench National Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr. Maoli Duan from Karolinska Institutet, Sweden, Dr. Hongjun Yang, Founder and co-director of Precision Medicine Professional Committee of Chinese Bioengineering Society, Dr. Valérie Dutoit from University of Geneva, Switzerland and Dr. Yvette AKWA from Inserm & University Paris Saclay, France delivered speeches online respectively on“Design, Synthesis and Biological Evaluation ofGlycosphingolipid Derivatives as Potential Therapeutic Agents”,“Sweden’s Response to the COVID-19 Emergency: 1) Foreign Policy Environment 2) Clinical Translation and Application”, “Liquid Biopsy Helps the Development and Implementation of Precision Medicine” “Immnuotherapy for Glioblastoma”, “Alzheimer's Disease: from Neuropathology to Symptoms”.

After the above speeches, Prof. Linhua Jiang, Chair of Overseas Chinese Science and Technology Innovation Alliance, thanking all the attending guests and the organizing committee members of the conference for their supports to this conference. So far, the conference has come to a successful conclusion!

In addition to the offline venue in Brussels, Future Intelligent Technology Sub-forum also organized offline listening room and Zoom online roomin China. Over 300 experts and scholars gathered in this conferenceto communicate offline and online.

The conference will continue to provide a platform for experts, scholars and professionals engaged in digital, intelligent, green design, manufacturing, and application all over the world to exchange the latest research results, and to further promote the global development of artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing, clinical medicine and intelligent devices.
